Suflora's fully-equipped apartments are designed as your private retreat space, where you can work, cook, eat, rest, and create at your own pace, surrounded by the inspiring beauty of Umbria's Valley of Genius.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US:
FLORIAN AND SUSANNE
When we needed it most, we weren't able to find a retreat that fit our needs, a place to just breathe, think, and work on our dream project. Everything was either a cabin in the woods, which felt somewhat unsafe, or a retreat with a fixed schedule, and a determined outcome.
That's why we created Suflora. For us, Suflora isn't just a getaway, but a sanctuary where focus can flourish.
It's about the oh-so-important side-effect that nature offers - getting back into the here and now.
It's the deep breath you take when you see a light-blue butterfly landing on a bright-red flower in the midst of greenery.
Or when you notice the scent of the mandarin-flowers on your way through the garden.
Or when you feel the warmth of the first ray of sunshine on your skin, while watching it rise over a magical scenery of a misty valley.
We combined our love for Umbria - that magnificent, wild, raw, inspiring landscape - with our love for secluded, yet easily reachable places and, after a very long time of searching, found this estate in Vallingegno - which, as we later found out, translates to the Valley of Genius. How fitting!
In 2022, we moved here from Germany, and we poured our hearts into renovating this space, equipped with the experience of staying in hundreds of vacation apartments.
We had long lists of goods and bads we had noticed during our stays, and these influenced every decision we made while renovating and designing the apartments.
Suflora has now turned into a space that gives you room to do one thing at a time. It's a place designed for those kinds of projects that demand your undivided attention, where your biggest ideas can take shape, uninterrupted.
